WE BLEND UP THE ‘WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE MILKSHAKE’ – ‘MILLIONAIRE’S MILKSHAKE
We are excited to have created the world’s most expensive vanilla milkshake to celebrate National Vanilla Milkshake Day on Saturday 20th June.
Our restaurant, based at the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay, already features over 20 milkshake flavours on our menu and we have now developed an exclusive £50 ‘Millionaire’s Milkshake’, which includes the most expensive ingredients from around the world.
They include ice cream made from Tahitian vanilla pods, rich Jersey milk and strands of saffron. The finishing touches include sprinkles of 23ct edible gold leaf, shavings of Italian black truffle from Umbria and Amedei chocolate from the Tuscany region of Italy, one of the world’s most expensive chocolates.
Costing £50 a glass, Millionaire’s Milkshake will only be available on Saturday 20th June at the Red Dragon Centre, although centre visitors will be able to taste small samples of the milkshake for free between 1pm – 3pm.
Imtiaz Hussain owner of our restaurant said: “Our milkshakes normally cost around £3.75 but we wanted to push the boat out and celebrate Vanilla Milkshake Day in style.
We have sourced the best and highest priced ingredients from around the world to create a milkshake of pure luxury. If it becomes popular then we may just add it to our menu.”
The milkshake shares a number of the same ingredients as The Golden Opulence Sundae served by special order at the New York City restaurant Serendipity 3. In 2007, it was listed in Guinness World Records as the most expensive sundae in the world at a price of $1 thousand.
